Lost Soul Parts

Seek truth beyond tradition, definition or image

There are many ways in which a shamanic practitioner can approach a person.  When someone comes to me for help in living their full spirituality, they usually have something specific in mind.  It may be a situation or a set of circumstances or some inner discomfort that is pressuring them.   In truth, it may be any number of things.  But, they usually have a fairly clear idea of what it is.

We take time together unwinding the tentacles of the problem before  I move into the channeled part of the session.

I, likewise,  have a whole tool box from which to draw  when dealing with these issues.  These have come from years of studying with shamans and years of working on my own healing.  As the practitioner, I enter the scene as a person who is in process,  not one who has arrived at  perfection. In fact, often after a session I find that spirit has taught me and often brought  me healing in the process of healing  the client.  Healing always takes place for the client and sometimes for me.  Learning always takes place for the client and for me. It is a win win situation.

Some of the tools are reiki, soul retrieval, curse unwinding,  compassionate depossession, sound healing, chakra clearing  etc., etc.,.  In groups we make effigies, story talk, share the fire, drum, rattle and  share a host of other modalities.  I also host a cannupa ceremony.  At all times we use many different elements such as , crystals, drums, rattles and other earth elements.  It all depends on what spirit calls for.

But the thing I notice that is common to all sessions is that I cannot make the decision as to what modality or tool will be used for any particular person.  I may think I should start out in a certain direction but then spirit will often turn me around 360 degrees and point to a totally different direction.

Before each person arrives, I take time to clear the area where we will be working . Then, I  set up an altar in accordance with spirit’s directions ,  specifically for that particular person. I start working long before anyone arrives.    I am often surprised by the things spirit instructs me to put on the altar. Each altar contains different sacred items depending on the individual coming.  As, I said, it often surprises me when spirit instructs me which items to put on the altar for that person. Sometimes it is the last thing in the world I would have expected.

It does not become clear until we are actually in the presence of spirit and I am directed as to what to do.  I do not make any prejudgments as to which methodology to pursue for any person till I enter the world of spirit and I am guided step by step.  I may use one and I may use many. The person may be included actively and may not. They may be included passively and they may not.  Each session is truly an adventure!!!

The other thing I notice that is a given universal, is the return of lost soul parts. While, there is a separate soul retrieval ceremony, soul parts are either returned or strengthened  in the process of any  spiritual  healing, no matter what tools or methodologies are used.  The person always leaves fuller,  more whole and more in tune with their true self than when they came.  And this is always gratifying and exciting. I want to see people whole, complete and living happy fulfilling  lives.  It is rarely accomplished in one visit. It is not a silver bullet. Spiritual healing can take time and work but the results are amazing and wonderfull. I am so honored and privileged to be a part of that process.

Aho!
